I, for one, am a BIG fan of coconut oil. After studying Ayurveda for the past 6 months, I realized that it wasnt the best oil for my body nor my dosha (we will get into what dosha means at another time). Coconut oil, while extremely moisturizing, is COOLING. Meaning that this oil is amazing in the summer time or for people that tend to run on the warmer side, but if you are like me (I tend to be colder) you need to pack the coconut oil away for the cold weather. Some other options for oils that are great for warming are *sesame oil, avocado oil, &/or jojoba oil. Using these oils for daily moisture or for self-massages will help with keeping you warm for the colder months!
