Aloha! My name is Imani and I live in the New York Metropolitan area.
How do you help people heal?
My methods of facilitating healing are by way of traditional chinese medicine, specifically taoist qigong. Which mean energy work/ breath work.
What type of benefits does your method of healing provide?
Disease can not live in an oxygenated state. So the methods I teach to others allow them to breathe deeper into themselves so that there own bodies can utilize the energy they build to function optimally.
When did you realize that you wanted to heal people/why did you start?
In 2001/2012 , not exactly sure, I began meditating. From 20 minutes to several hours , these practices opened me up to my internal self. Understanding that my thoughts and emotions were a reflection of the other, and could be managed through diet, stretching, and deep breathing - only led me to want to share it with all who could benefit. Which is everyone.
How does your personal healing journey reflect in how you hold space for others?
How I feel inside will be expressed in every moment of my day. In order for me to be of use to someone else, my energetic space needs to be in equilibrium. The understanding of that, allows for me to understand others.
Why is what you do so important?
What I do contributes to the benefit of my mental, emotional, and physical health. Alignment in those specific areas are beyond important to me, and I would feel, to everyone else as well.
What is your inspiration to continue doing what you are doing? What is the fuel that keeps you going?
Feeling good, keeps me going. I’m a person who does not like to go long feeling imbalanced in any way. It’s my divine right to feel amazing. These practices help me feel just that.
How does it make you feel when you are helping people heal?
When I show an exercise or explain an aspect of thought that helps another, my feeling is to encourage them to pass it along. The knowledge is for everyone.
What are your visions &/or goals?
To keep practicing, teaching, and learning. Most of my goals are broken down into short and longterm between growing my online shops and exploring the potential of new ideas.
Tell us a fun fact about what it is that you do or something people may not know about you.
A few years ago I owned an online vintage clothing shop called Dirty Tuesday. It was so much fun putting photo shoots together and searching for unique finds, sometimes it was hard for me to let go of some of the pieces because I wanted to keep them.

Breathe, deeply.

I frequently post to my Instagram stories different wellness info sessions and plant based recipes. My daily activities are all there lol
